Montague Recreation Culture Committee Meeting

THAT the MRCC receive the Mighty Machines verbal update as presented this date; AND THAT a Family Rate of $20.00 per family of four be implemented; AND FURTHER THAT the admission cost for individuals over the age of 2 be raised to $6.00 per person.

THAT John Johnston be responsible for the updating of the Action Tracking List.

THAT the MRCC receive the verbal update regarding the Summer/Winter Volleyball league; AND THAT the MRCC look into organizing a ball hockey league; AND THAT Katherina Khoury gather information on using Zeffy for registration purposes.

THAT the following MRCC members commit to assisting at the Lanark County Harvest Festival on September 13th, 2026: John Johnston, Jim Abbass, Gerald Crabtree; AND THAT the MRCC will include advertising for volunteers on their calendar of events being prepared for Harvest Festival.

THAT $250.00 be budgeted for the Halloween Dance Party being held at Rosedale Hall on October 23rd, 2026, to pay for glow in the dark items and party supplies.

THAT the event name be changed to "Santa's Village"; AND THAT the MRCC contact the Fire Department to seek assistance in leading Santa to Rosedale Hall; AND THAT the following activities be organized for this event: pictures with Santa, crafts, ugly sweater contest, Christmas carolers, lighting of the tree, chili and a bun with hot chocolate and apple cider, and cookie decorating; AND FURTHER THAT the event be held on December 5th, 2026, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.

THAT the MRCC proceeds with organizing a comedy night for Winterfest on the Saturday night.

THAT the MRCC accept the May 2026 Financials presented this date as information.

THAT the MRCC accept the changes discussed this date to be added to the Action Tracking List.

THAT Mighty Machines (October 3rd, 2026) hours of operation are from 11:00am until 2:00pm and the cost of admission is $6.00 for individuals over 2 years or $20.00 for a family of four; AND THAT the Halloween Dance (October 23rd, 2026) hours of operation are from 7:00pm until 9:00pm and the cost of admission is free; Page 4 of 5 AND THAT the Christmas Market (November 21st, 2026) hours of operation are from 9:00am until 2:00pm, the cost to Vendors for tables is $20.00 per table, and the cost of admission is free; AND THAT the Christmas Trivia (November 27th, 2026) hours of operation are from 7:00pm until 10:00pm and the cost of participation is $10.00 per person or $60.00 per table; AND THAT the Santa's Village (December 5th, 2026) hours of operation are from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and the cost of admission is free; AND THAT the Winterfest (January 29th & 30th, 2027) event details, hours of operation and admission/participation fees will be provided to the Township once confirmed by the committee.

THAT the MRCC confirms all direction as agreed to at the meeting of June 22nd, 2026, and forwards that direction to Council for final approval.

THAT the MRCC adjourn their meeting of June 22nd, 2026, at 7:46pm, until Monday, August 24th, 2026, at 6:00pm, or at the Call of the Chair.
